AN ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH OF SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL
This image of the MS Volendam was taken in the harbour of Auckland, New Zealand on a very calm night. The smooth flowing water in the harbour created a very nice effect in this image by reflecting the lights of the brightly lit ship on a smooth glassy surface.
Waste Plant-Ski Slope
On the outskirts of Copenhagen a waste-to-energy plant that also doubles as a ski slope and recreation center will be constructed. Waste-to-energy (WtE) plants create energy in the form of electricity or heat from the incineration of waste. This particular plant will have a modified smoke stack that puffs out giant smoke rings whenever 1 ton of fossil fuel is released to serve a communicative function as a gentle reminder of the impact of consumption. Part of the greatness of this piece of architecture is that is serves several purposes by doubling as a power station and a recreational centre.
BEST PIECE OF CREATIVE WORK BEFORE COMING TO THIS COURSE
Above is the conceptual design and final product of my Major Design Project for HSC Design and Technology. It is a suitcase that has been compartmentalised and allows businessmen and tourists to be highly organised while travelling with ease of access to their belongings. The upper compartments lift out and to the side of the suitcase similar to some makeup and fishing boxes allowing access to the bottom, and then close up neatly on top making it possible for all of a travellers belongings to be neatly displayed at once.
